So continues my blog about nothing. I am very tired right now. The last time I slept, I did not sleep well. This establishes one potential reason for my tiredness because with a low quality of sleep the body is not allowed the opportunity to rest itself adequately in the time that you are sleeping and therefore cannot perform properly when you are awake. My tiredness could also have been a result of the lack of sleep that I have received; however, I did not look at the time when I fell asleep, so I am not sure of the exact amount of sleep that i received and therefore cannot prove nor disprove this particular theory. Given the evidence of my state of being tired it is most logical to believe that it is a mixture of those to causes rather than just either one alone. Neither can be proven though, so this argument is rather pointless. Regardless of the way in which I became tired, the fact that I remain tired remains a prevalent issue. A solution to the issue of me being tired would be to use the time that I spend blogging to sleep. This is not a viable option however because not blogging would result in bad things occurring.

I am working diligently on English and only English homework right now. You should be proud of me. If you do not believe that I am working only on english homework right now, you should note that there is no way to ever know whether or not I was doing more than just blogging for english at this particular moment in time. This whole focusing entirely on one assignment revelation is a great leap for me because often I would take massive breaks in the middle of blogs, suffer great lapses in thought, and more likely than not provide a less than stellar blogging result. Furthermore the gettysburg address is very annoying. Abraham Lincoln felt very inclined to use really large words like "consecrate," and he proceeded to use these excessively long words rather superfluously. He also highly enjoyed annoying me by going Yoda with the sentence structure. "It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced." ... Never with any semblance of sanity would I construct a sentence as convoluted as that one, which made it very difficult to memorize. In conclusion, the entire school should spontaneously move to florida. I hear it is nice there.

Today I ate a taco. It was a good taco. Such a good taco, in fact, that I believe that it is vital for me to sit here and comment on the intricacies of said taco for the entirety of the blog. Oh how sweet was that delicious, ambrosial, luscious, luxurious, mouthwatering, scrumptious, tempting, yummy, flavorful, delectable taco. Oh how a pine for an object of similar origin! That taco was so divine that it is almost certain that even the most burly, powerful, muscular, brawny, tough, rugged, dumbbell-lifting, mountain-climbing,  man would fall to his knees at such an enormous, momentous, marvelous, supreme, majestic, glorious, heavenly display of sublime quality. None should deny the greatness of the taco that I ate for I have truly discovered what it means to be reveling in  a state of utmost happiness. I wish to tell the world of what I have experienced in a more adequate fashion, but I am but restricted by the limiting, pathetic, pitiable, distressing, heartbreaking nature of words. So now that taco is gone, but it will live on in memory until I die, then it will be gone forever.

No offense to st valentine, but single soldiers definitely do fight better. In every action a person takes in life, some lesson or skill is learned, sometimes the increase in skill is very small, and at other times the increase in skill is very large. Relationships, fit right at the edge of the small end. This is because the main outcome of a relationship is enjoyment and the experience that you gain from one is mostly only applicable to future relationships. One cannot fly a plane with the knowledge gained from a relationship or do anything tangible for that matter, for in reality it means about nothing. Relationships are fun and they take a great deal of time, which makes them extremely addicting. WoW is the same way. People play for hours upon hours upon even more hours trying to get to a certain level or get the latest item, but at the end of the day, they have learned nothing but WoW strategy valuable learning time, wasted. When a person is heavily addicted to WoW, they do not even notice that they are wasting their lives away. They do not notice that other people are improving themselves and enhancing their skills. All that matters is WoW. As ridiculous as it seems, the only difference between a minute playing WoW and a minute in a relationship is that your body tells you that spending the minute in a relationship is acceptable. They have both been effectively wasted in respect to a man who spent that minute studying, practicing free throws, or throwing a baseball. The guy in the relationship will shout "nerd" at the kid who spent his minutes wisely just as the man who does drugs wishes to coerce the person who does not into being hooked because he is insecure about his habits. It is a shame that most nerds turn to videogames, because with productive imput with all the minutes that we are given on this earth, a man who is single will make groundbreaking leaps in whatever field he enters, while the man who is not will never think that the relationship he values so much is the very thing that is preventing him from doing the same.

Today I ate a hotdog. That hotdog had ketchup on it. That was a good hotdog. Yum. I also went to school today to enhance my education.  I went to history today and learned about some history. I went to Spanish today and learned about some spanish. I went to english today to learn about some english. I went to study hall today and studied in a hall. School was very exciting. I wish it were this exciting every day because then that would make school generally more exciting. Furthermore it would be nice if the school were bright orange all over. Then it would make an impression on every single car that passed by it. While this idea may seem insane, it would make a larger imprint on a passerby than the black college preparatory school message that was just recently added to the school sign. The whole argument comes down to this. The school should be painted orange. All people who do not believe that the school should be painted orange should refer to the previous statement.

There are many instances in which the media has affected Otiz's story. In one instance the media offers her a product that will help her succeed in her gym class and gain weight in order to look more like wonder woman. This was potentially a negative interaction with the media because it influenced her to change her body to fit certain characteristics that were not natural. Her mother recognized this and refused to buy this product for her. She is also affected by her encounter with Santa Clause because Christmas is an important holiday and this experience altered her view on the world. The media also affects the ideas of large groups of individuals as illustrated by the story of Tim, where it is unknown whether or not Tim's father knew the Puerto Rican army, but it is very likely that he did not and was rather acting upon a disposition placed within him by the media. This allowed for a large impact on the lives of the entire family.

My gender is that I am male. I have been male my whole life. When I was younger, however, my idea of being male was very tentative. I was unsure of what it meant to be male or why people did what they did to flaunt their gender. While part of me understood the fact that males would want to flaunt their superior strength, the flaunting of prepubescent strength seemed very strange to me. At that stage there was very little discernible difference in strength. Girls would generally be weaker, but often there were girls who would be stronger than most males in the class. Regardless of how abnormally strong the girl was, it was devastating to lose to a girl in a battle of strength. This illustrates that these children, and I, had already been conformed to certain ideas about gender. Men were supposed to be strong and women were supposed to be inferior in that field. When a child attempted to ignore the stereotype they would be ridiculed by their peers. At this age, children are not very intelligent and would rather accept another person's view of the world than to formulate a view of their own because it is easier. Thus, my view of gender is stereotypical.

I support gay marriage rights. All couples should be able to experience the same rights and benefits that go along with being married for both legal and intimate purposes. There is very little practical purpose to limiting the happiness or freedom of two people simply because they have chosen to love a person of the same gender; in fact, often same-sex couples have the strongest and longest lasting relationships because they have chosen to marry a person despite the radical peer pressure against it. In this manner, a homosexual individual will not settle for a person who is below their standards or whom they think are risky, but will choose a reliable companion who will help them withstand the hateful minority prejudices that are ever so common in today's world. Homosexual marriage has many controversial sub topics, but strangely one of the most prominent aspects that brings up the most controversy is the name of the actual action itself. I believe that having a different name just for the marriage of homosexuals is morally wrong because it promotes the subordination of them in some way, but it may be the most practical solution as many refuse to compromise at all unless the name is changed.

In this metaphor he compares the lifestyles of two families, one with both a mother and a father, the other, a broken relationship. With statistical backing he states that a child raised by a whole family has a greater chance of succeeding than the one raised by the broken relationship, recognizing the fact that failures are infrequent on both sides. He relates the metaphor therein by envisioning one plane that has a 90% of landing successfully to the whole family, and a plane that has an 80% chance of landing to the broken family. While both planes have a strong and fairly similar chance of landing safely, the analogy argues the fact that even a slight increase in effectivity is worth endeavoring to take the plane that has the greater odds of landing successfully. The metaphor also applies a second facet of raising a child. It takes the fear many people have of being on a plane that crashes and uses it to make the implication that the dangers of a plane are approximately the same as those of raising a child incorrectly, for crashing a plane, like the raising of a child, can only be done once.

The author waits to choose to tell the reader of the heterosexuality of the victims in the anecdote to alert the reader of the tuning out effect that they would likely employ toward a homosexual person. If he had told the reader right away, then he would have allowed the reader to grasp the concept that it was a straight victim immediately, and they would never have been able to understand the subtle subconscious prejudices that they have against homosexuals. As it stands now the average reader is led to believe that this story is just one of many acts out of antigay violence, but the fact that the intended audience and the victims of the story are both straight causes the straight audience to suddenly feel a short moment of panic and surprise upon the awareness that the victims were actually straight. Suddenly the issue is no longer distant like they think of most issues involving homosexuality. Many stubborn individuals will hold their view away from the argument when reading it, and in a sense, ignore all things that they do not agree or want to agree with. This sort of delayed information tricks that sort of person by merging the sympathy a straight audience feels for a straight victim with the frequent victimization of homosexuals. Such an interesting twist makes the text exceptionally difficult to monotonously toss aside.

In appearances the author uses fancy language to try to implicitly infect the reader with his point of view using complicated diction and specialized syntax that requires in depth thought and insight to understand. Wolfsan's structure, rather, is very organized and laid out. It is quite easy to determine from the reading the point of the passage and the idea being presented. He simply begins with a thesis that summarizes his thoughts and backs up his thesis and the rest of his argument with a wide variety of sources. he also chooses the focus of his argument quite well. He appeals to the audience with sources like a court case, which makes his point difficult to disagree with, and he avoids the more tentative issues which will encourage a reader to ignore the material being presented, regardless of its truth. As such, he does not bring up the controversial issue of gay marriage, choosing rather to present issues like all of the other issues that gay couples are being specifically denied.

Based on the criteria discussed, Eustace does appear to be a transcendentalist. Tired of the changes and rules inherent of the humanized world, Eustace decided to live out in the wild where there were no rules. He takes great appreciation in all of the animals and trees in the wild and he shows appreciation for the way in which the utilization of the nature allows him to live. Transcendentalists have an opinion very similar to this. They believe that the every animal contains a piece of divinity, and that in the instance that one world conflicts with their beliefs, they can use their influence to change that and create a new world. In moving out to the wild to rid himself of the classic human influence and trends, Eustace created a new world for himself. In this world the opinions of all of the other humans in the worlds are of miniscule importance. He maps his life the way that he wants to and he acknowledges the importance of the animals that he must kill in order to survive. In this way he is a transcendentalist.

There were many to chose from, but this one really stood out. "The corruption of man is followed by the corruption of language. I liked this quote because I could actually understand it. Those who have become corrupt will begin to use corrupt language and utilize the previous innocence of the language to accomplish corrupt tasks. Once been taken advantage of however, those who do not use corrupt language will lose faith in the sublime verity, which they had taken every word stated to hold.  They will begin to see faults in the language even if they are not there, and they will not blindly accept statements as they are. This can be seen in politics. Politicians stretch the truth and misrepresent information with such a frequency that those who hear them speaking, regardless of whether they are telling the truth, will begin to doubt the verity of their statements. Thus, the statements lose their value. This, however, would never had occurred if the language had never been abused in the first place.

Book

Elizabeth Gilbert wrote this book to exemplify the ideals and the lifestyle of Eustace Conway. Eustace recognized the atypical environment that humans live in and wished to rid himself of this aversion to nature by living off the land in the wilderness. Gilbert wished to convey this message through her book. One example of this occurred when Eustace mentioned that we live our lives in boxes and circles. This exemplifies his view in a metaphorical manor, as humans are restricted in his opinion by the many people that have placed down the foundation to modern civilization. Rules and regulations have restricted everything we do. Eustace hates this a great deal, and he is annoyed to such a degree that he says this statement in the way that he does.
